Default Case 0091 Evidence 0003

I've just checked on the http://imaginetheimpossibilities.com site and it's been updated again to include another case file, in the shape of what appears to be..well...take a look for yourselves:

Anyone familiar with the equation a+b/a=a/b ? related to the fibonacci sequence?

I've also tried to search for "carroti" and "winton" (or vinton) but no joy as of yet.

Well it is the Golden Mean:
Quote:
Golden Ratio

The irrational number (approximatey 1.618) is found frequently in nature. It is referred to as the golden ratio, and is defined by two numbers, that form a ratio such that (a+b)/a = a/b (a/b being the golden ratio). It has a direct relationship to the Fibonacci numbers. This pattern was exploited by Leonardo da Vinci in his art. The Fibonacci pattern has a closed-form expression. These patterns can be seen in nature, from the spirals of flowers to the symmetry of the human body (as expressed in Da Vinci's Vitruvian Man, one of the most referenced and reproduced works of art today. This is still used by many artists).
This is from a very interesting, almost purpose written article on patterns from wikipedia. Although it just appears to confirm what we (seem to) already know .

Well if you copy the image and paste it in Paint or somewhere, there's more to it.

I see the name "Estherville", which is located in Iowa.
and what I can make a guess as "C19SCO"

Edit: Okay, I'm 100% sure these names are just places in Iowa.
Estherville, Carroll, and Vinton are all there. I think these three begin a pattern, and we finish it by finding out where C19SCO is.

Edit2: Andddd...C19SCO turns out to be Cresco!

Cresco - Top Right
Carroll - Bottom Left
Vinton - Bottom Right
Estherville - Top Left

Oh that's interesting! You're right maestrojon, it does appear to reinforce what we already know, and importantly it would appear that we are on the right track.

I think it's interesting that Fringe appear to be using the 'actual' Golden Ration/Mean as a gateway to their "pattern"..

That's awesome Kyle, great find!

So we have another Iowa connection as with the 'sheep' case file!

Ah, I see..I thought the name was "carroti", but it's "Carroll" - thanks for clearing that up Kyle.

Do you think this case relates directly to the sheep investigation, or do you think it's seperate evidence of the pattern?

It does look like Carroti, but trying to find a town in Iowa, Carroll fit the bill.
So does Cresco, but it's hard to make out if it does actually say Cresco on the picture.
But all of it fits.

Hmm.
I'm pretty sure it has to do with the sheep investigation, but...it could be more.
I have no clue, lol.

Things are hotting up! So the C19SCO is Cresco..i'm going to do some digging on Cresco to see what I find. Btw, how did you know C19SCO=Cresco?

Also, could there be a pattern in the co-ordinates of these 4 locations? They seem to be spaced out pretty evenly according to the picture

Thanks.
Well after finding out all the names were actually places, I looked on Wikipedia to find out where they were.
Then I noticed the three points seemed to make a square, but there was one place missing...Cresco.

So I went to google maps, searched a little towards the northeast of Iowa, and I knew Cresco had to be it.

And you're right, they do look to be spaced out quite evenly.
I have a feeling there's more to discover in this newest piece of evidence. At least I hope!

I just took another screencap of the page, and it is definitely Cresco, as you said:

I wonder what town is at the center of these co-ordinates?
