Default Enhanced Fringe Posters

Someone sent me these images via email..they didn't say anything in the email..just attached these images.

Obviously they are the original poster images but with more graphics overlayed onto them. I'm not sure whether it's just a fan who has mocked-up the
original images, or whether they're official

I dunno, if they are original fan-art they are impressively well done. The themes for each one are great, and they really did their research. Cuz some of it I at least recognize and it's pretty complex stuff as far as I know. something I see is alot sequences of numbers and what not, wonder if this is something to delve deeper into. If nothing else though, these are just really realy well done and almost seem as if they could be legit.

Edit: Ok I know those sequences, they are fibonacci sequences. 0,1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21...... It is theorized that those numbers are at the root of almost all existence. For example, if you look at the first poster the conch shell pictured... If you break it down as they have shown in the pictures, those squares side lengths are exponentially growing in fibonacci sequence hence making it's area exponentially grow, and making rays as they have shown in the picture creates a shell. It has been proven as far as I know that all shells in existence( at least anyone that has been studied) grow according to the fibonacci sequence.

The same goes for the hand, the numbers on the right side are fibonacci, the others, I am not quite sure. 6 is probably for the 6 finger hand. But who knows, that one seems a bit random, almost just compiled to look cool upon further inspection.

And upon looking at the third picture I notice that the equation there is quite basic, and just doesn't quite make sense, it looks at first glance like some sort of useful equation, but upon further inspection it's just nonsense. I can't find anything like that on google, although of course it probably would be hard to find. And I just can't make enough sense of the background of the leaf, more math that's all I know.

Aha! I've just checked the FOX site and their Fringe section has been updated with those images.

When you click the images it opens up this youtube vid of a six fingered man:

and the word NAMASTE!! All Lost fans will love this connection. Namaste is a phrased used by Lost's shadowy science outfit, the Dharma Initiative..and they borrow it from Buddhism, Sikhism and Hinduism where the word means "I Bow to you", although there are derivitives of it's meaning.

and another images opens up a page to the Future on FOX blog

There's also a 'Holomove' sound when you hold your mouse overr the images....at last a firm connection between holomove and Fringe?

The thing is, they want us to look closer at the things they show us..I wonder if there's more we should be noticing?

Ah! Isn't that the Fionacci sequence in the triangle-leaf poster?

*goes to check*

Yup, it is! Here's some info on the Fibnacci sequence from Wikipedia:

Quote:
In mathematics, the Fibonacci numbers are a sequence of numbers named after Leonardo of Pisa, known as Fibonacci. Fibonacci's 1202 book Liber Abaci introduced the sequence to Western European mathematics, although the sequence had been previously described in Indian mathematics.[1][2]
The first number of the sequence is 0, the second number is 1, and each subsequent number is equal to the sum of the previous two numbers of the sequence itself. In mathematical terms, it is defined by the following recurrence relation:
That is, after two starting values, each number is the sum of the two preceding numbers. The first Fibonacci numbers (sequence A000045 in OEIS), also denoted as Fn, for n = 0, 1, 2, … ,20 are:[3][4]

The Fibonacci numbers first appeared, under the name mātrāmeru (mountain of cadence), in the work of the Sanskrit grammarianPingala (Chandah-shāstra, the Art of Prosody, 450 or 200 BC). Prosody was important in ancient Indian ritual because of an emphasis on the purity of utterance. The Indian mathematicianVirahanka (6th century AD) showed how the Fibonacci sequence arose in the analysis of metres with long and short syllables. Subsequently, the Jain philosopher Hemachandra (c.1150) composed a well-known text on these. A commentary on Virahanka's work by Gopāla in the 12th century also revisits the problem in some detail.
So is THIS part of "THE PATTERN"?? The Fibonacci numbers are a 'sequence' (pattern) of numbers.."The first number of the sequence is 0, the second number is 1, and each subsequent number is equal to the sum of the previous two numbers of the sequence itself"

So we could be looking at something where whatever is happening in the show..is part of a sequence..a sequence which depends on the previous sequence? So the planeload of melted passengers is the next 'stage' in the experiment. So basically they could go wioth the central idea that none of these phenomena are independant..they're ALL closely related and dependant on one another. So as Broyles said..it's a "pattern".

Not sure that makes sense to anyone else, as I kinda ended up in the same place..but using the Fibonacci sequence as a template, I think we can begin to make some sence/guess of where JJ will go with this..

Damn you're fast D. Yeah I feel you definitely on the sequences. I didn't know that there was really a formula like that for fibonacci, I just knew it as a pattern I always remembered, heh good one. So a lot to look into, sweet.

I think you really have something on this nothing happens for no reason. I think that's definitely gonna play a huge role, everything happens from a sequence of events from before. Interesting very interesting.

I know what you mean on this as well, there is a certain mystique I would say involved with fibonacci sequences, they are very mysterious and for lack of a better word creepy in their own way. And it definitely tells me something about what I expect from the show, I just don't exactly know how to describe it. Weird, I'm sure but it seems like you know and understand what I am trying to say about them and what it means for the show.

Haha, yeah I just thought that each images much have somekind of clue or reference encoded into it somewhere. I'm going to do some mroe reading up on Fibonacci a bit later..hopefully they'll be more connections in there somewhere.

I think the third image links to another video - but I can't view it for some reason..i'll have to try again later, unless anyone is able to link it

Yeah, that's the thing - even Pacey said as much in a recent interview, that the audience will have to look closely at what they show us, and I think the same can be said for this viral stuff.

"A sequence of events" - I like that phrase..and I agree, I think looking at things this way will help us to understand where they're taking us.

Totally agree..that's the impression i've always had about them. Even though my knowledge on the sequence is limited, I've always got the impression that they lead to a type of 'Pandora's Box'. I can't wait to see how JJ and co will give us a new perspective on fringe (and even 'conventional') science.

Like you, I just love the 'feel' that this show has to it..and it hasn't even started! JJ is a very creative guy, and it looks like FOX are supporting that creativity well. Long may it continue!
